What To Expect

Rockingham Beach
Your day begins with a coach transfer from Perth or meet the boat at Val st Jetty, Rockingham (located in front of the Rockingham Cruising Yacht Club). On arrival you'll board the Perth Wildlife Encounters custom-made dolphin swim vessel complete with a large rear platform, making access to the water very easy.

After your crew has located a pod, you’ll gear up with wetsuits, masks and snorkels (all equipment is included) and then dive into the fun, as you are quickly surrounded by excited whistles and splashes as the dolphins arrive to play. While many resorts provide opportunities to swim with dolphins, the crew’s rapport with these precocious marine mammals has created one of the best swim-with-dolphins excursions in Australia. Better still, Rockingham is a brief, 40-minute drive from Perth, making it an easy day trip.

Following your swim, you’ll be treated to lunch with gourmet Seafood platters.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Special shout outs to Amy and Samara, for encouraging words during swim, and going above and beyond. Wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.
Amazing experience

We booked the return ferry ride to Penguin island and the Sea Lions, Dolphins experience. Amazing value for money. It’s an easy train ride from Perth and a short bus or Uber drive to the visitor centre. Everything was so organised and the staff was over the top friendly and helpful and informative. I loved the fact the whole animal interaction was totally holistic with the dolphins not being enticed in any way to meet us and the skipper respecting their space which means they 100% were comfy with us and 100% wanted to meet us on their terms. Sustainable tourism at its best. Loved meeting so close the Little Penguins who cannot be released in the wild. Loved the experience and we saw Australian Sea Lions competing on the beach and even swimming along with Osprey. Great commentary from Josh and great skipping from Garry. Awesome experience and amazing value for money. And don’t forget the Little Penguins experience which in itself is worth the trip. We need to protect them and raise awareness
If you are traveling to Perth It is a must-do

Easily the best part was getting in the water and having the dolphins swim around us. Our guide, Amy, was great at guiding us to have the best experience we could and checking in to ensure everyone was getting to see the dolphins.
The rest of the crew were also incredible, with Jess giving a great overview of the history of the company and educating us all about the dolphins we were swimming with.
We were also given a delicious lunch, which was well needed after spending so much time in the water.
I would truly recommend this to everyone as it's one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Staff were helpful and organised Experience was good
Disappointing as the lunch was sandwich not advertised seafood platters and the trip was to be 6 hours which I expected to be from when we got on boat to end For the cost I thought we could have tried to swim after lunch again with dolphins
